What is a Companion?
A Companion is a virtual character you can talk to by voice or video, any time, in 11 Indian languages. Companions remember what you have shared so conversations pick up where they left off. Companions are virtual characters, not real people, and they are not a replacement for a doctor, counsellor or emergency services.
How does Connect work?
Connect shows you people who share your interests and language. Send a connection request, and once you both accept you can chat for free or call each other. Others only see your first name, interests and language, never your age or location. Being discoverable is off by default; you choose when to switch it on.
Is chatting really free?
Yes. Text chat is free, with no daily limits. Coins are only used for voice calls at 12 coins per minute and video calls at 90 coins per minute, and the rate is always shown before you call.
Do I need to pay for coins?
Not during the beta. You receive welcome coins when you sign up and free bonus coins every day. There is nothing to buy right now. When purchases launch, prices will be in Indian rupees and shown in the app.
Which languages can I talk in?
Eleven: Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Marathi, Kannada, Malayalam, Gujarati, Punjabi, Odia and Indian English. Speak whichever feels natural and the conversation follows you.
Do coins expire?
Coins are valid for 182 days (6 months) from the day you receive them, and your wallet always shows the expiry date upfront.
Is Datev0 safe and private?
Datev0 is an 18+ app with age checks at signup. Your data is stored in India, never sold and never used for ads. You can report or block anyone from any chat or call, and you can delete your account at any time.
