Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how SSVEE Digitechno ("Datev0", "we") collects, uses and protects your personal data when you use the Datev0 app and website. It is designed to comply with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and Google Play's User Data policy. By using the Service you consent to this Policy.

1. Data we collect

• Account: phone number (for OTP login), name, gender, date of birth (18+ verification), preferred language.
• Profile (optional): bio, interests, up to 3 photos, approximate location (only if you grant permission — used to show distance in the People tab).
• Usage: call history and durations, coin balance and transactions, chat messages you send to other users, device and app diagnostics.
• Voice & video: during calls, your audio is streamed to our servers and processed in real time to power speech recognition and AI responses. We do not sell your voice data. Calls with AI companions may generate conversation summaries ("memories") to personalise future conversations.

2. How we use data

• To provide the Service: login, calls, chat, matching, wallet and payments.
• To personalise AI conversations (language, remembered context).
• To keep the platform safe: moderation, fraud and abuse prevention, age gating.
• To meet legal obligations, including payment and tax records.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

3. Processors we rely on

We share data only with service providers who process it on our instructions to run the Service: cloud hosting (Amazon Web Services, Mumbai region), database hosting (MongoDB Atlas), authentication (Google Firebase), real-time calling (LiveKit), speech recognition and synthesis (Sarvam AI), AI language models (e.g. Groq), conversation memory (Mem0), and payments (Razorpay / app store billing). Payment card data is handled by the payment provider — we never see or store it.

4. Where your data lives

Our primary infrastructure is hosted in India (AWS Mumbai region), in line with Indian data-localisation expectations. Some processors listed above may process data on servers outside India solely to provide their service to us.

5. Retention

• Account and profile data: kept while your account is active.
• Chat messages and call logs: kept while your account is active, or until you delete them in-app.
• Payment records: retained as required by Indian tax and financial law.
• On account deletion, personal data is deleted or anonymised within 30 days, except records we must keep by law.

6. Your rights (DPDP Act 2023)

You have the right to access a summary of your personal data, correct inaccurate data, request erasure, nominate a representative, and file grievances. Exercise these rights in-app (Profile → account options) or by writing to hello@datev0.app. If unsatisfied with our response you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

7. Security

Data in transit is encrypted (TLS/WebRTC encryption for calls). Access tokens use asymmetric cryptography, payment webhooks are signature-verified, and production access is restricted. No system is perfectly secure — please use a strong device lock and never share OTPs.

8. Children

Datev0 is an 18+ service. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor is using the Service, report it to hello@datev0.app and we will remove the account.

9. Permissions the app requests

• Microphone — required for voice/video calls.
• Camera — required only for video calls and profile photos.
• Location (approximate) — optional; shows distance in the People tab.
• Photos/media — optional; only when you choose profile pictures.

You can revoke any permission in system settings; related features stop working, the rest of the app continues.

11. Changes

We may update this Policy; material changes are announced in the app. The current version is always at datev0.app/privacy. See also our Terms & Conditions.
