Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Datev0 mobile application and website (together, the "Service"), operated by SSVEE Digitechno ("Datev0", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility — 18+ only

The Service is strictly for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. We verify age at onboarding via date of birth and may suspend accounts we reasonably believe belong to minors. The Service is intended for users in India.

2. AI companions — you are talking to software

Datev0 offers conversations and voice/video calls with AI-generated companions ("Matches"). Matches are artificial intelligence, not real people, even where they have human-like names, voices, photos or personalities. Their responses are generated by machine-learning models and may be inaccurate, incomplete or fictional. AI conversations are for companionship and entertainment only — they are not medical, psychological, legal, financial or professional advice. If you are in crisis or need help, contact local emergency services or a qualified professional. The Service is not a substitute for emergency services.

3. Talking to real people

The People section lets you discover and talk to other real users who have chosen to be discoverable. When interacting with real users you must not: harass, threaten, stalk or abuse anyone; send sexually explicit, hateful or illegal content; record calls without consent; solicit money; impersonate others; or attempt to move minors onto the Service. We may moderate, restrict, suspend or ban accounts that violate these rules, and may report unlawful conduct to authorities.

4. Your content

You may upload content such as a name, bio, photos and messages ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your User Content and grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, display and process it solely to operate the Service. You are responsible for your User Content. We may remove content that violates these Terms or applicable law.

5. Coins (virtual currency)

• Calls are paid per minute using "Coins", a virtual currency purchased in the app (packs from ₹19). Chat is free.
• Coins have no cash value, are not transferable, cannot be exchanged for money, and are licensed to you — not sold. Coins are not a deposit, investment or gambling product.
• Coins expire 182 days (6 months) after purchase.
• Per-minute rates are shown before every call. For calls with real users, only the caller is charged, and charging starts when the call is answered.
• We may change coin prices and call rates prospectively; changes never affect coins you already hold.

6. Payments & refunds

Payments are processed in INR by our payment partners (e.g. Razorpay, or the app store's billing system where required). All purchases are final: used Coins are non-refundable. If a purchase fails but money is debited, the amount is automatically reversed by the payment provider, typically within 5–7 business days. If Coins were charged for a call that failed due to a fault on our side, contact us within 7 days at hello@datev0.app and we will re-credit them after verification. Nothing in this section limits rights you have under applicable consumer-protection law or the app store's refund policies.

7. Acceptable use

You must not: use the Service unlawfully; attempt to hack, overload, scrape or reverse engineer it; use it to generate or spread illegal content; harass our staff or other users; create accounts with false age information; or resell access. We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules, with forfeiture of remaining Coins where the breach is serious and deliberate.

8. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, personas and branding, is owned by us or our licensors. Except for your User Content, no rights are transferred to you beyond a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app.

9. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is". We do not warrant uninterrupted availability, or that AI outputs will be accurate or appropriate for any purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 6 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for the conduct of other users, though we will act on reports of abuse.

10. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from the app or by writing to us. We may suspend or terminate the Service or your account for breach of these Terms, unlawful conduct, or where required by law.

11. Governing law & grievances

These Terms are governed by the laws of India; courts at Chennai, Tamil Nadu have exclusive jurisdiction. For complaints or grievances, including under the Information Technology Rules 2021 and the DPDP Act 2023, contact our Grievance Officer: hello@datev0.app. We aim to acknowledge complaints within 72 hours and resolve them within 15 days.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified in the app or by other reasonable means; continued use after the effective date of a change constitutes acceptance. The current version is always available at datev0.app/terms.
